History: Joseph comes from a family with deep roots in the Mafia, with childhood and family ties to organised crime: the majority of his family were associated to the Trapanis. His father, Dominic Alpinista used to be a made man in the Trapani crime family, after he obtained a blue-collar job at a construction site in Doherty and often hung around wise guys. Dominic was approached by Mafia up-and-comer Paulie Mascagni, and the two became partners-in-crime in the neighbourhood, committing low-level crimes such as robbing cars for chop shop owners, extorting local shopkeepers, running low-stake card games etc. Eventually, the two were approached by fearsome Trapani soldier Tony Blundetto, and helped the man out with enforcing his protection racket, as well as collecting payments for him. Eventually, they were introduced to Trapani caporegime Bobby Strozzi, and both gained notoriety as eager associates on the rise. However, there was one event to change both of their lives: the FBI. Paulie Mascagni had been one of their informants, and so Bobby found out about this from his corrupt contact from within the force - the man relied on Alpinista, who found and shot the rat dead without fail. Dominic served as the personal driver of his captain, and did a lot of Bobby's "dirty work" for him. Eventually, after Paulie conspired with other crew associates to murder Strozzi (the plot being unsuccessful, with Dominic accredited for some of their mishaps) the soldier was murdered by Dominic on Strozzi's orders, and the civil war came to a halt. In return for his sworn loyalties, Dominic was inducted into the family, and later took over the crew after Strozzi was murdered in a business deal gone wrong. During the late eightties, his son was born. Joseph never knew his mother. His father always told him that she was a nun in Sicily, however Joseph found out she became a drug-addled whore and was inadvertently killed during the war with the Leone's in a driveby shooting. Joseph grew around old school gangsters such as Joseph Trapani, his faithful Underboss Anthony Dimeo, his prodigal son Santino and most of the old members including Johnny Boy and Donnie Trapani. He was a member of a school gang run by their school's resident bully, proving himself to be a skilled combatant. The bully's name was Federico Sinito, also known as "Derek", and his father was the foreman at a public works housing project in Doherty. The gang of school rebels often hung out at the local cornerstore, extorting the aging shopkeeper there and enjoying a few smokes. During summer vacations, Joey helped out Derek at the construction site the latter's father worked at, the two of them making coffee, running errands, doing odd jobs. In fact, one of the father's colleagues got the two youngsters to make some deliveries for him, the two of them delivering unlawfully acquired construction supplies to their recipients. Life was good, until Federico's dad picked up some heavy gambling debts, and was forever indebted to Don Trapani. The father was eventually murdered by Dominic, seeing as how the father attempted to murder the latter, and the two sons ran away. Eventually, however, Derek and Joey realised the hard truth, and the two high school dropouts made a living as extortionists. They were eventually straightened out by Dominic, and the two became involved in the "family business".Joseph was a young man from the streets, earning some income on the side through a few smash and grabs, as well as small-time gigs such as selling flatscreen TVs to local fences, mugging drunks for chump change etc.He was introduced to the family as an enforcer, and helped out his friends whenever he could. Joseph was under the tutelage of respected mafioso Benito "Benny" Fazio, a made man and on the rise. Joseph was young, he became a skilled hustler, and learned how to make money through various businesses and was respected amongst the family. When Trapani was shot, the Mafia boss was accompanied by Joseph's father, Dominic, the two of them discussing the recent business with the Leone's, and Dominic was shot eight times in the chest - he died instantly - and was also shot once in the head. After the death of his father, Joseph, full of malice, was ready to start a war against the Leone's but Anthony Dimeo (the new Underboss of the family) was able to calm him down. Tony brought him into the Baccalieri regime as a low-level associate, working alongside Benny, Joseph has became a made man , Joseph has begun spreading rackets around L.V he was being ignored by Santino so he is making a power grab
