John Lupino and Jack Schiavelli, two of Costello's most trusted and respected (not to mention feared) enforcers, both of whom were currently serving under powerful Costello captain Frank Merissina had been tasked with an important assignment: armed robbery. Of course, it seems fairly straightforward at first, but that was before it was discovered that Costello had cut a deal with a wealthy diamond merchant who needed to pay off his gambling debts to various crooks. The meagre businessman had offered them a small amount of priceless diamonds in exchange for helping the man pull off a hijacking of one of his own trucks, in order to receive an insurance payout.
The two saw the armoured truck coming to a seemingly abrupt halt directly outside a bland diner and filling station on the outskirts of Las Venturas. Both of them were dressed in fitting balaclavas and FOLA tracksuits, and were brandishing glossy assault rifles.
Without so much as a nervous glance, the two sprung into action, opening fire on the innocent patrons and shattering the diner's windows, as people were receiving flesh wounds and nasty cuts via lethal fragments of glass.
The truck driver and a few rent-a-cops he'd smugly hired ran outside, as John and Jack gunned them down without experiencing any second thoughts whatsoever. Blood spewed onto the chillingly dormant tarmac as Lupino and Schiavelli swiped the keys to the truck, clambering inside and driving off.
A few police squad cars attempted to blockade them off, as John opened fire on them via his trusty assault rifle, causing most of the rookie police officers to drive off the main road and crash on pleasant green hills.
John: Nice work, Jackie.
Jack: Not too bad y'self, Johnny boy.
The two of them laughed raucously, before sighing in blatantly obvious relief.
John: Listen, Stone'll meet us at the lock-up.
Harold Stone was the diamond merchant who'd enlisted Costello's services. The man'd receive an insurance payout if the hijacking of the truck was made out to be the act of another party, and would get to keep the diamonds - not technically, though.
The two fled to the lock-up and met up with Stone. A few words were exchanged and they were driving off in a pre-stored black Sentinel. It was time to relax now.
