Personality - Vincenzo Salerno has been called an introvert by many, as he never speaks much (which he attributes to his survival in the streets). He is usually kind yet has been known to snap at random, and transform into a vicious enemy. People that know him count him as a good friend to have around and someone they can trust. His quietness has been rumored to span from a bad experience as a child, where his father beat him for speaking too loudly in a drunken rage. Vincenzo struggles from alcoholism which is usually what brings on his fits of anger.
History - Vincenzo Salerno was born and raised in South Bohan, Liberty City. He was the first born son Sicilian immigrants John Salerno ( A local small time crook, disliked by many ), and Isabella Salerno ( formerly Isabella Ciccio ). As a child he faced major neglect and was constantly abused by his father, who would lash out at him in drunken rages. He never did well in school and so during his early teen age years, turned to a life of crime. He caught his first charge at the age of twelve for petty larceny. After severe punishment by his father, Vincenzo made it a point to never get caught again. He began knocking over small shops with a few of his friends; Carlos Marrone, Giani Giocomo, and John Ferarro ( all deceased due to a vehicle collision ). He quickly gained some notoriety among the local gangsters and began slinging small time drugs on the streets such as marijuana. At the age of sixteen he moved out of his parents house to live with a few older gentlemen who really expanded his criminal interests. By twenty-five he was pushing large amounts of Crack Cocaine onto the streets of South Bohan and caught a trafficking charge from the DEA. After serving a long-term prison sentence up north he came back out at age thirty five to find the world completely changed from what he remembered. Now he lives out of a dingy little apartment complex, and struggles as a Waste Management engineer, Hoping to be snatched up by some local gangster sooner or later.
